WHAT WE'RE UP TO
Actions and Events
Sometimes it takes a march, sometimes an information campaign, a petition, a letter, a project. Here’s what we’re working on right now. Join our mailing list to stay updated.
We've been busy gathering support from Culture Liverpool and organisations in Liverpool City Region for the creation of a Freelancer Working Agreement which will enhance and protect the working standards of freelancers in the city. We will need freelancers to help us write it, and we've just been awarded funding to make it happen! See what it's all about here.
Join us for our second staff party quiz on Friday 5th Feb - for all the freelancers, self employed, casual workers, arts staff and literally ANYONE who wants to join in!
We're working on creating a freelancer directory - where you can upload your profile, CV, Images, portfolio, links...with no paywall. We've got support from large organisations that they would use the directory to hire freelancers and we've just been awarded funding to make it happen! Read more about this project.
We've made a place for you to share your thoughts, feelings, voices and experiences about the arts. We will be collecting from these stories and testimonials to post on our public media channels, with your permission. Explore these voices and our podcast. Have your voice heard here.
As part of our Voices Project we have recorded, edited and released a series of podcast episodes - listen to the stories of those working in the arts and how they have coped with COVID.
As part of our drive to deliver resources for creatives, we collate all the opportunities we hear about and add them to this page each week, in collaboration with the Everyman and Playhouse. You can also find links to support and funding here!
We work hard to gather resources in one place, making them accessible in order to support the artistic community. This is where we'll post blog entries, opportunities and practical help as well as detailed research that can be used to support campaigns, funding bids and to spread the word.
MPs need to be informed of the issues that matter to their constituents so that they can discuss them in parliament and advocate for us. We've created easy templates so that you can write to your MP, making sure your voice is heard.
You can get involved by contributing to our voices project. You can support our campaign by signing up to social media channels and sharing posts to spread the word. March for the Arts is also run entirely by volunteers, and we could use your help. Get in touch and tell us what skills you can offer.
